Oh boy, here comes fall.  We'll be doing an early and short ride this weekend.  It's gonna be COLD--43 degrees!  6:30 am sunrise ride--Martinsville loop (only about 30 miles).  Time to pull out the long gloves and tights.

No ride this Saturday.  Next week on Sunday we'll be doing Ride the Drive on the West side--details to come.

8/3 ride

We'll be heading West tomorrow on a mixed ride of hills and flats.  Heading out on Schneider and Enchanted Valley to Spring Valley and will keep going on Carter and East Hudson into Mazo.  In Mazo we'll head East on KP and follow it all the way back until Cross Plains at which point we'll hit Airport and then back on Schneider via Enchanted Valley.  Beautiful ride!  Be ready to roll out at 7:30am.

July 21

This week the ride is a little strange.  The group I ride with from the East side is doing a hilly century.  They are meeting on the East side, but I will be meeting them on the SW commuter path near Mickie's Dairy Bar at 7:10 am on Sunday.  If you want a very hilly ride--8,000 feet of elevation gain in about 100 miles--feel free to come along.  We won't be going too fast--about 16mph with a couple stops included.  If you join the ride, come prepared.  Tubes, pump, patchkit, sunscreen, food, money, and a map!  We will first hit Mt.Horeb and then will meander to Blue Mounds park followed by hilly winding before heading back.

Saturday July 6h

Tomorrow we'll be doing a long, slow, distance ride.  Heading out from Harbor at 7am, we'll head North to Devil's Lake and back.  We will be taking the most direct route which has us riding the ferry.  The total mileage is about 75 miles from Harbor.  We won't be going fast, just enjoying the scenery.  Water is an issue on this route.  The really only good spot to refill is in Devil's Lake.  It's going to be quite warms and very sunny--prepare yourself and bring a map if you need to cut off or shorten the ride.

May 22nd

Not looking good with the weather...if it's not raining, we'll do a short Martinsville loop from Harbor at 7:30am.

June 8th

We'll be doing an earlier ride this week due to a bike swap I have to get to.  7am start from Harbor.  About a 32-34 mile loop heading West into the hills.  We'll head out Enchanted Valley and do a loop around Otto Kerl, Table Bluff, Scherbel, Spring Valley, Schuman and back.  Beautiful ride!
